Our TANGO-DJ.AT Membership Badges are a yearly certificate being updated end of January every year. They confirm that you are an active supporter of the TANGO-DJ.AT Archive and Database project. Every active member receives a new badge every year, which he or she can use on website or social media to show their membership with us, provided that there is or has been an ongoing active membership subscription for that year.
If you wonder if someone is actively supporting our project and has access to the largest database available, you can look up his name by using the Supporting Members page and see if he/she has an active membership status with us.
A misuse of our badges will immediatedly cause a life long bann from our TANGO-DJ.AT Archive and Database services. Please feel free to get in touch with office@tango-dj.at in case of any questions related to our supporting membership badges.
TANGO-DJ.AT Database Membership
A TANGO-DJ.AT Database Membership Badge shows that a tango-dj or collector:
- is actively working to improve his music library by having access to the largest tango database with extensive meta data information
- is able to identify the best quality releases available and where to find them
- is supporting the TANGO-DJ.AT database project
This badge is given to everybody subscribing to our Database Membership giving you unrestricted access to the TANGO-DJ.AT Database. Database members have access to the soundsamples, cover pictures and meta data of over 105.000 individual tango recordings – each taken from their corresponding media.
You can check and complete your meta data of your existing tango music collection and compare the quality of different releases in order to find the best quality recording for you.
TANGO-DJ.AT Full Membership
A TANGO-DJ.AT Full Membership Badge shows that a tango-dj or collector:
- is actively working to improve his music library by having access to the largest tango database with extensive meta data information
- is able to identify the best quality releases available and where to find them
- is interested in extending and improving his music collection by purchasing tango music as digital transfers, or physical CDs/LPs.
- is supporting the TANGO-DJ.AT Archive and Database project
Subscribers to a Full Membership have unrestricted access to the TANGO-DJ.AT Database as described for the Database Mebership above plus benefit from:

TANGO-DJ.AT Honorary Membership Badge
The Honorary Membership Badge is not an official, public badge which can be subscribed to. It is given away individually and personally to members who contributed in various and significant ways to the TANGO-DJ.AT Archive and Database. Usually this envolves many hundred hours of work and dedication in various fields. Their contribution made the project possible in the first place, and/or contributes to the expansion and improvement of the archive and database.
It is a small token to honor a contribution or collaboration, which we could not have afforded otherwise.
